Year 5 and 6 finished this term by writing excellent information texts about the Solar System and Mars, based on research from their Space topic. They demonstrated great sub-heading use and caption writing. Then to cap off their learning in geography, the children also made whole mountain ranges using a range of art and DT skills, showing knowledge of different parts of mountains and valleys. Here we can see summits, outcrops, ridges, plateaus and both snow and tree lines. They also learnt how Earth’s tectonic plates constantly shift around to create mountains. Great work everyone!
