Year 5 and 6 have been busy creating fantastic art inspired by their WW2 topic.  Firstly, they created scenes from the Blitz, which caused thousands of children to be evacuated.

They then learnt about propaganda and made their own posters, inspired by real wartime government posters which encouraged people to ‘do their bit’ in different ways.

Finally, the children got into role and wrote letters home to their ‘mothers’ making sure that they didn’t’ worry about them being so far from home.  In this way, they created their own personal propaganda.
