Years 5 and 6 have recently been reading Way Home by Libby Hathorn and Gregory Rogers. The children have produced some incredible art with ideas inspired from this book. They used some oil pastels to create art, including the character Shane. The children also created wonderful collages and poems all about the city at night. To create the collages they cut out a template of the buildings in the city and used white paint to splatter stars into the sky. They then used different coloured paper to create various buildings and made them stand out against the dark sky.
