Year 5/6 are lucky to be working currently with professional poet, Paul Lyalls. Known for his funny, moving, and imaginative poetry, Paul encourages young writers to explore their own voices. The children are learning different skills to write poetry – with the final result being their own poems published in an anthology. This project is part of “Read, Write, Share,” an initiative by The Reading Agency in partnership with Camden and Islington Libraries. The project aims to boost reading, writing, and oracy skills in children while helping them become confident and creative readers and writers. We are looking forward to seeing what amazing poems the children create.
