Olive, Cedar and Banyan classes have begun making regular visits to North Library this autumn term, linking their reading with their history topic “Ancient Egypt”. During their visits, the children have enjoyed listening to stories inspired by Ancient Egypt, helping to bring their history lessons to life in a fun and engaging way. Each child has also received their very own library card and borrowed books to take home. A brilliant step in developing lifelong reading habits. The librarian, Karolina, has been delighted to see so many Pakeman families visiting the library since the school trips began. Everyone is welcome, and there’s always something going on. From a vibrant children’s library and LEGO sessions to reading challenges and family activities, there is something for all the family. We’re excited for these ongoing visits and hope they inspire a love of libraries that lasts well beyond the classroom.
