Our Hidden Heroes had a fantastic time visiting the Caledonian Park Clock Tower, also known as the Cally Clock Tower. They discovered fascinating facts about the 170 year old tower and learned that it was once part of a busy meat market. During a hands on workshop, the children explored how the clock works, expanding their understanding of forces and movement. The workshop leader was very impressed by the children’s scientific enquiry skills and the vocabulary they used, and said she could clearly see why they had been selected as Hidden Heroes. Visitors aged 10 and over can climb the 178 steps to the top and enjoy panoramic views across London. It was a fun and memorable day that combined learning, curiosity and play.
