On World Book Day, our school came alive with colour and creativity as we celebrated World Book Day. The day was filled with exciting opportunities to share and enjoy our love of books. We began with Read Together at Soft Start, welcoming families into classrooms to enjoy stories alongside the children. Throughout the day, each class took part in a special World Book Day activity, sparking imagination through reading, writing and creative tasks. Reading remained at the heart of the day, with Buddy Reading, SLT story sessions and a whole-school Drop Everything and Read moment. It was a joyful celebration that reminded us all of the magic an importance of reading every day. The highlight for many was dressing up as favourite book characters. Our afternoon assembly featured a wonderful costume parade, showcasing the fantastic effort and creativity across the school.
