Here is some of the fantastic poetry created at Pakeman during the Spring term!
In Year 1 and Year 2 children explored descriptive language by writing colour poems, using their senses and imagination.
In Year 3 and Year 4, children experimented with shape poems (calligrams) about animals. Their poems were carefully arranged so that the words form the shape of the animal they were writing about.
Year 5 and Year 6 had a very exciting experience last half term when they worked with Paul the Poet. After learning new poetry techniques and writing their poem, the children typed up their poems so they could be included in a poetry anthology.
