In our nursery class, the children have been deeply engaged in a doctor’s role-play experience. They’ve explored medical tools, cared for “patients,” and acted out real-life scenarios, which has
helped them to learn about the human body in a fun and meaningful way. Through play, they discovered the names and functions of body parts and developed empathy as they’ve looked after others. The children have also been introduced to their Book Hospital and Book Doctors, where they can repair torn or damaged books. This is a great activity which teaches everyone responsibility and respect for shared classroom resources. It helps children to understand the value of looking after books so they can be enjoyed by everyone.
