During the summer term Year 5 and 6 were learning about Jamaica and how people emigrated from the Caribbean to Britain after Word War 2 to help rebuild the ‘Mother Country’. The children
painted beach scenes before portraying passengers boarding the famous Empire Windrush, one of the ships which brought many people across the Atlantic from 1948.
