Year 3, 4 and 5 had a wonderful time on their recent trip to the Barbican to see the London Symphony Orchestra. The children showcased the singing that they had spent 4 weeks preparing with Jack. What an amazing experience to perform with the LSO! Presenter Paul Rissmann took the audience on an exciting musical adventure full of strange creatures in need of a home and taught
them about the orchestra on the way. They heard music from Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Modest Mussorgsky, Louise Farrenc and John Williams, alongside an enchanting musical setting of Shaun Tan’s award winning story The Lost Thing. They finished with a sunny lunch on the grounds of the Barbican watching the ducks play in the lake. Thank you to Jack, Marta and the Year 3/4/5 teams for organising the trip. An amazing experience for everyone!
