Learning to Learn

We want to develop confident learners with “growth mindsets” who understand that achieving success requires effort, practice and perseverance.

We encourage children to develop their understanding of the learning process so that they recognise that:

  • Learning is not always quick and easy
  • Learning involves effort
  • Learning involves making mistakes

We work hard to develop in children the characteristics which will enable them to become independent, lifelong learners. There are outlined in our Pakeman Promise.

An Optimistic School

At Pakeman we have a positive, “can do” attitude and adopt a solution-focused approach to overcome obstacles and enable ALL children and adults to achieve their full potential.
