Peace Walk

Our Peace Walk on Monday was a tremendous success, with children, parents/carers and staff setting off at 10.30am to walk to Finsbury Park under the banner of peace, love, happiness and unity, to raise awareness of the theme of togetherness in the face of events intended to cause divisions. A big peace banner made in school was carried by children at the front of the walk, while lots of the children displayed posters that they made. They blew whistles and rang bells and we generated fantastic interest in the local community, with many people showing us great support by beeping their horns, clapping and giving encouraging feedback as we went by and paused at the junction of Seven Sisters Road and Tollington Road. On our return walk to school we were absolutely delighted to be joined by Jeremy Corbyn, our local MP and Leader of the Opposition.
