Tom, the husband of Sara, one of our governors, and Tom’s friend Simon, who is a neighbour of our school, are presently training to complete a 201km kayak journey, from Devizes to Westminster, which should take about 20-28 hours. This endurance test, on 31st March-1st April, will see them journeying throughout the night, with no sleep, and they are doing this specifically to raise funds to buy exciting new reading books for all our classes at Pakeman Primary School (please click here to see their poster).
They are doing brilliantly, having already raised £1,200 of their target of £2,500. Can you help them to reach their target (or even more) and make a difference, by making a donation, large or small to support Pakeman children?
If you can, then please click here.
P.S. When you make a donation, don’t forget to check the Gift Aid box if you’re a UK taxpayer as this will mean an extra 25% can be claimed from the government!
Donations can continue to be made after the event, until July.
Thank you to Tom and Simon for undertaking this incredible feat, with the aim of making a difference to the children at Pakeman School. We appreciate their efforts enormously and we can’t wait to hear about how they get on! Watch out for the report in the newsletter and on our website.
